Deep in Trash

Looks like Bluesmoke Hancroft have also been hit by the economical situation.

Here she is covered in rags, sitting on a pile of trash.

Here she is, deep in the trash.

This doesn’t look good for her.

Cubic

Haven’t been in Second Life lately. Real life was getting in the way. I decided it was time I popped in and created a new musical statue.

This really turned out the way I expected it too.

I’m really satisfied with the way this turned out.

Clicking the cubes on the corner activates them.

The corner cubes rotate, emanating [...]

So, Podcaster Island is no more. Fortunately, Podcast Island is still here and it now much better since Itazura Radio is the new owner of the sim. He also changed the name to Corona Cay, so this is really a freash start. Here is an upper view of the island:

Here I am, standing in front [...]

This is the work of Crap Mariner, who is always out there to help SL musicians. I added a poster with a link at my own gallery [...]

Art Gallery at Podcaster Island

While it’s nice to have a chill spot out at Podcaster Island, I decided I want to do more with this place, so I decided it was time to re-create my gallery, only… a little differently this time…

I’m not having walls on this one, or… indeed – a floor. There’s the chill spot and there [...]

Unfortunately, there’s not much I can do about this now. This has impact way beyond Second Life for me and includes difficulties in uploading podcasts and other strange web connection related [...]

Naturally, I’m calling him Blueshark

Also, I want to thank Crap Mariner for adding my Blueprint CD to the excellant collection over at Edloe Island.

Couldn’t resist some self-promotion. My Night Guy T-Shirt giver would give you a free T-Shirt and a notecart with a short blurb about my Night Guy podcast as well as a website link.

Snarl

Experimenting in cloths designs for Second Life. I call this one “Snarl”. It might not be the best name since the design is more rosy then snarly, but I like the sound of that name

It’s still far from being perfect, but I feel that it’s better then the Futuralia, and I still feel [...]

Hopefully, learning how to design a dress that looks decently like a dress would be as easy. Yeah – dont I wish

UV Study

I’ve been taking UV study pictures of my Bluesmoke Hancroft avatar, trying to understand better how the UV maps work.

Here, you can clearly see where everything goes. I’m using the UV maps created by Robin Wood, which are excellent for positioning textures and elements while creating SL clothing items.

One thing that is important to understand [...]

Assembler – the third in a series I’m now calling The Futuralia Series.

Looks like I’ll have to master the art of the Prim skirt. The Linden idea of a skirt is just… well… not really there…

As you can probably tell from those pictures, I’m still learning as I go alone, and in fact, I don’t expect to open my own SL store until the middle of 2009, but that’s part of [...]

This Monday, the 29th, I created the first outfit using Bluesmoke Hancroft. It’s the first in a set of similar outfits on a futuristic theme. I’m starting out very simple with a basic set of t-shirt, jacket, trousers and a skirt. Here are some images of this outfit:
